What Does a Session Look Like?

If you are new to energy work, welcome. Here is what you can expect during an in-person session:

  • A Safe Container: You will remain fully clothed, resting comfortably on a padded massage table, supported by blankets and bolsters.

  • Gentle Touch: I will place my hands lightly on—or hovering just above—specific energy centers on your head, torso, arms, and legs.

  • The Experience: Every individual experiences Reiki uniquely. You may feel a pleasant sensation of warmth or tingling, see colors drifting behind your closed eyes, or simply drift into a state of deep, meditative sleep.

  • The Afterglow: Most clients leave feeling profoundly relaxed, lighter, mentally clear, and deeply grounded.

How often should I get Reiki?

While a single session can provide immediate stress relief and a profound sense of peace, the benefits of Reiki are cumulative. For general maintenance and stress management, many clients love a monthly session. If you are navigating a specific emotional hurdle, chronic pain, or a period of high stress, a cluster of 3 sessions spaced two weeks apart can be incredibly supportive.

What is the difference between In-Person and Distance Reiki?

In-person Reiki includes the element of gentle physical touch and the ambiance of a dedicated healing room. Distance Reiki operates on the quantum principle that energy is interconnected, regardless of space. Both are equally effective; distance healing is simply a wonderful option if you are traveling, homebound, or prefer to integrate the healing energy immediately into your own bed or couch.

Can I combine Reiki with my Ayurveda protocols?

Absolutely. They support each other beautifully. While Ayurveda optimizes your physical biology, digestion, and daily rhythms, Reiki works directly with the subtle, energetic body and the nervous system. Using them in tandem creates a powerful, multi-layered approach to foundational wellness.
