How we care for patients, and support those providing that care, shapes how healing happens. Together, we can improve recovery and outcomes.
Healthcare Consulting and Clinical Collaboration
My work has always been rooted in supporting healing, not only at the individual level, but also within the environments where care is delivered and by those providing that care.
With over 20 years of experience as a registered nurse, I’ve seen how factors such as timing, environment, and daily rhythms influence recovery in meaningful ways. Through my training in Ayurveda, this understanding has deepened, particularly in relation to rest, digestion, and nervous system regulation.
While much of my work is one-on-one, I also offer consulting services for healthcare settings interested in exploring practical, supportive changes that enhance patient experience and recovery, and the overall care environment.
Approach
Hospital care is necessarily structured and often fast-paced. At the same time, aspects of the environment—such as frequent interruptions, artificial lighting, noise, and inconsistent nourishment—can influence rest, stress levels, and overall recovery.
My approach focuses on small, thoughtful adjustments that can be integrated into existing systems without disrupting clinical care or workflow.
This includes supporting alignment with the body’s natural rhythms, including the Circadian rhythm, as well as bringing awareness to how timing, environment, and daily routines impact both patient recovery and the experience of those providing care.
The goal is not to add more, but to work within what already exists—supporting changes that are practical, sustainable, and meaningful over time.
Areas of Focus
Ways to Work Together
This work is grounded in clinical experience and informed by structured improvement methods such as the Plan-Do-Study-Act, allowing for thoughtful, measurable, and sustainable changes over time.
-
Support in developing and refining initiatives that enhance patient recovery and care experience. This may include identifying opportunities for improvement, shaping practical interventions, and aligning changes with existing clinical workflows to ensure they are both effective and sustainable.
-
Design and implementation of small-scale pilot projects focused on improving specific aspects of patient care—such as rest, environmental factors, or care coordination. These pilots are structured to allow for observation, feedback, and measurable outcomes before considering broader integration.
-
Educational sessions for nursing and care teams that bring awareness to the role of environment, timing, and nervous system support in patient recovery. Content is practical and applicable, designed to integrate into daily routines without adding unnecessary burden to staff.
-
Collaboration on projects that aim to improve how patients experience care during their stay. This may include addressing factors such as sleep disruption, comfort, and sensory environment, with the goal of supporting both recovery and overall well-being.
-
Guidance on thoughtfully incorporating holistic, evidence-informed perspectives into clinical care. This includes supporting approaches that consider rest, digestion, and daily rhythms as meaningful contributors to healing—while remaining aligned with medical standards and patient safety.
